Death of C.W. Mallory

The following from the San Jose Mercury refers to Charles W. Mallory formerly of this city, where he will be buried.

Charles Wesley Mallory passed away this morning at the home of his son L.B. Mallory at Los Gatos.

While suffering with a slight cold, Mr. Mallory was about town Monday, chatting with friends, and his death was a shock to the community.

He was a native of New York, aged 77 years 5 months and 10 days, and had been a resident of California for the past 25 years. He had lived in Los Gatos nearly 16 years and was held in high esteem by all who knew him.

Besides his son, L.B. Mallory, a daughter, Mrs. Coburn of Los Gatos is left to mourn his loss.

The body will be shipped Monday to Santa Cruz where it will be buried.

Santa Cruz Sentinel (March 12, 1912)

The funeral of the late Charles Mallory, formally of Santa Cruz was held Monday morning on the arrival of the train from Los Gatos. The service was under the auspices of the G.A.R. and was held at I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
