DIED- HUGHES- at Bonny Doon March 24 Arza Brown Hughes aged 77 years, 5 months, and 16 days, a native of Ohio.

The funeral services will be held at the Chase undertaking parlors, Friday, March 26 at 2 P.M. Friends and acquaintances are invited to attend.

Elderly People Pass Away

Arza Brown Hughes died yesterday morning at his pretty mountain place at Bonny Doon, where he has been living with his wife and daughter, Mrs. Charles Sperry. He lived for some time on Branciforte Av. where he was very well known.

He has been afflicted for a number of years with heart trouble and has been a sufferer bearing his ailment with Christian fortitude. Mr. Hughes was born 77 years ago in Ohio and has spent many years in the west. He leaves a wife and daughter.

He was brought from the mountains and is at the Chase undertaking parlors.

Funeral over A.B. Hughes

The services over the late Arza B. Hughes, who died at Bonny Doon, were held Friday afternoon at the Chase undertaking parlors and were under the auspices of Wallace Reynolds post, G.A.R. with C.H Bright of the Brethren officiating. Mrs. Z. T. Croop and Mrs. Virginia Walker sang "There'll Be No Night There," and "Through Gates of Gold". The G.A.R. attended in a body and a large number of friends were in attendance. Interment was at SCruz/OMP cemetery. The pallbearers were W.R. Sargent, W.V. Lucas, J. W. Hanville, W.P. Friend, A.H. Parsons and E. Millard.
