Death of Joshua Hudson

Joshua M. Hudson, one of the well known and old time residents of the San Joaquin Valley who has resided in Santa Cruz for the past few years died at his home on Maple street.

He was 70 years old and a native of Indiana. Surviving him is a wife and a large family. A number of whom reside in the valley. A daughter married Deputy Clerk Harry Miller a few months ago.

The funeral will take place from his late residence at 21 Spruce St. on Tuesday at 2:30 PM.

Esteemed Man Passes Away

Joshua Hudson, an esteemed citizen of this city who passed away at his home on Spruce St. Saturday will be buried this afternoon. He is the father in law of Harry E. Miller, the deputy city clerk, who was recently married to Miss Hudson.

Mr. Hudson came to Santa Cruz a few years ago from Lodi and made a host of friends in this city, who regret his passing away. Deceased was a native of Indiana, aged 70 years and leaves to mourn his loss his wife and daughter and several children by a previous marriage.
