Henry Call Passes Away at the Home of His Daughter

Henry Call, one of the old time and best known residents passed away this morning at the residence of his daughter Mrs. W.L. Newman at 113 Lincoln St.

Mr. Call for years made his home at Blackburn Gulch near De Laveaga Heights, where he followed brick making and had a number of kilns that furnished nearly all the bricks used in Santa Cruz for many years.

The vineyard on his place was one of the familiar sights of the section where he lived.

The deceased was an old time Odd Fellow and will be buried under the auspices of that order. He was a native of New Hampshire and was 77 years old.

DIED: CALL In Santa Cruz February 4th Henry Call a native of New Hampshire aged 77 years 8 months. The funeral of the deceased will be held from Wessendorf and Staffler undertaking parlors (Sunday) at 2:00 PM. Interment at Odd fellows.
