Block of Pacific Avenue completely demolished due to earthquake
A look at one side of a block of Pacific Avenue that was completely demolished due to earthquake damage. The Hotel Metropole building was already vacant upstairs, though Plaza Books/Paper Vision was on the ground floor. Gensler-Lee Diamonds, Athletic Express, and the other businesses relocated or closed.
