Planners Seek Guidelines on North Coast Development
This article discusses the imapct the additiona housing units on the North Coast will have on the City of Santa Cruz. After various calculations done by the commisioners, the potential population could be any where from 21,416-74,949 persons. During 1972 there were 34,800 residents in Santa Cruz. Population density was a big concern, and so limits were developed, requiring at least 1.5 acres per every homeowner.
