Battle Over McHugh-Bianchi Building Nears End

This article describes the formation of the Committee to Save the McHugh-Bianchi Building, an 1886 Italianate style building in the angled corner entrance to the Pacific Avenue Garden Mall. The article also describes termite damage, and an inability to meet fire code. Judge Franich is set to decide if a previously issued city permit to raze the building is valid.
