Watsonville Indian Leader Patrick Orozco opens the first American Indian Awareness Week at UC Santa Cruz April 1992. Lee Sprague talks about the Turtle Island Project , Shining Eagle Dancers perform, Comedian Charlie Hill performs, Running Crane Originals fashion show, Alan Parker, dirextor of National Indian Policy Center at George Washington University addresses contemporary North American Indian sovereignty and storyteller Mary Lockwood-Inupiaq will talk about Artic history issues as experienced by indigenous peoples, Dances with Wolves actors Rodney Grant and Floyd Red Crow Westerman make an appearance and the Lonnie Yellow Hair Memorial Run 45 miles from Moss landing to UCSC
