Representatives from the Santa Cruz Indian council, theOhlone Cultural Association, the Northwest Indian Burial Protection Society, the Native American Student Alliance, the American Indian council of Monterey Bay, the Running Buffalo society of Salinas, and the Native American Heritage Commission gathering at the School Street Adobe for preservation. Tribes represented at the gathering included: Cherokee, Navajo, Ohlone, Sioux, Paiute, Ute, Choctaw, Makah, San Diegeno, Luiseno, Cahuilla, Shoshone, Cupeno and Chippewa.
