Merry Go Round at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk
The Merry Go Round at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. It was built in 1910 and features hand-carved horses and chariots.
From Back: "The Santa Cruz Beach/Boardwalk Merry-Go-Round ranks as one of the world's greatest examples of a traditional ride from the Golden Age of amusement devices. Built in 1910, by the master of them all - Charles I. D. Looff of Denmark - The Santa Cruz unit carries 62 hand carved horses and two Roman Chariots. 30 million people have ridden the machine in 54 years. As a museum piece, it would be impossible to reproduce today."
