Skygate to Vacationland
The article describes the beginning of the Sky Park airport with the acquisition of the land and the partnership of two instructors who could run a flying school. The flying school eventually closed but the airport continued with new hangers added and a longer runway to try to meet the requirements of the FAA. The airport was used by several flying groups, members of Hollywood for filming and several other famous people. It finally closed after new development nearby made it unsafe to land planes there.
