The assessment finds that there is marginal support for considering this structure as one of historical significance but worthy of some preservation if it is to be demolished. The supportive evidence is the age of the building and the fact that it served a generation of children in the early 1900s before a new school was built. Several strategies are recommended including preservation of the building as is or preservation of the historical artifacts related to the school if the building is to be demolished. Most importantly is the preservation of the school bell which should be returned to its former site or given to some historical preservation organization.
