Notes on July fire 1929 Scotts Valley

Mt. Hermon was evacuated, and some houses were destroyed. 12,000 cars came through Camp Evers as looks-loos. Lots of rental home owners called to ask if there home was OK. The fire was thought to be started either by boys playing with fire-crackers or by a cigarette.
