History of the creation of the Santa Cruz Art League in 1919. What started as a group of painters because the Art League under the leadership of four women painters. They were Leonora Pennimen, Cor deGRavera, Margaret Rodgers and Lillian Heath. Each was known for their own style of painting which was often featured in public showings. One of the ARt League’s early acts was to establish the Annual Art Exhibit which continues today.
