History includes the transition from lumber to tourism when transplants from the Bay Area were looking for summer homes. The San Lorenzo Chamber was started with three people in the 1920s and the accomplishments of the group include improving waster removal, the telephone service, Highway 9 oversight, and supporting the building of the Boulder Creek Library.
