How Boulder Creek got its library
The article notes that the man who donated the land was probably the tipping point in getting the remaining funds assigned to Boulder Creek instead of Live Oak. Robert Kuerzel’s gift convinced civic leaders to go with Boulder Creek since the first big step had occurred. The article states Jim Lee who was on the Library Board also did not get enough credit in moving the project to completion dispute many odds. It is suggested that Jim Lee’s support of a candidate competing for Jim Cucchiara’s position caused him to fall out of favor in recognization in the end.
