Sorrowing hundreds attend final rites

James grew up in the pioneer cabin that his father built which is still standing in big Basin at the time of this publication. He was a County Supervisor for many years and the President of the Santa Cruz Lumber Company. He also served on many Boards and Clubs and represents on of the pioneer families of Boulder Creek.
