Memories of Boulder Creek

Article is written by the daughter of Henry Alexander Jamison of the pioneer family of that name. She grew up living on several ranch properties in the mountains. Apples were her families chief crop and she talks about the pickers and buyers who would come through and harvest the crop. She also mentions several of the lumber mills including MIddleton’s that was near their property. She describes how downtown Boulder Creek looked and how it was challenging to navigate the roads with buggies, horses, oxen drawn lumber wagons and mules. Her grandfather was the original Jamison who bought property near De Laveaga Park. .
