Chain-Saw Vandalism
The largest cypress in the country was cut down by vandals possibly due to the request from Kay Hartman, head of the national Big Tree Program of the American Forestry Association, to preserve this rare Santa Cruz cypress tree "in conjunction of the vineyard project."
