Along the History Trail with Boulder Creek's Old Schools

The issue arose when the new recommendations were put forth that high school started in 9th grade for four years. Faced with having to commute to Santa Cruz or live there temporarily a bond was past to fund the creation of the Boulder Creek Union High School for $10,000. Funds were raised from the town and more than the need amount was raised. The HIgh School was badly damaged in the 1906 earthquake but funds were raised again to fix the damage. It stood until 1954 when the Sun Lorenzo School Unified and it was torn down.
