The work was kicked off by the Boulder Creek Business Association several years ago when they requested CalTrans to put the electrical wires underground and fix the sidewalks. Caltrains initially balked at the price tag but with persistence by Joe Cucchiara and Sam Farr the work finally got completed. A lot of the discussion included walking the streets of Boulder Creek to really assess the need for repair.
