20 acres of Redwoods are Preserved

The Save the Redwoods League and the Land and Water Conservation Bureau purchases 320 acres of land adjacent to Big Basin Park that was at risk of being logged and damaging Berry Falls and other sensitive habitat. Big Basin was created in 1901 and is considered the first State Park in California.
