A Manuel of Big Basin Redwood State Park
Excerpt from a book detailing the history of Big Basin Park. The content includes early pioneers and cabins, the history of big fires in the area, the beginning of the conservation movement and the origins of the Park. Andrew P. Hill’s story and the beginning of the Sempervirens Clb is described and the vote to establish the park in the legislature. Also discussed, are early park wardens, Pilkington and Rambo, are completed some of the early development in the park of cabins park headquarters buildings and sewage systems. Ramo got caught in a charges of mismanagement over cutting trees that he perceived as killed by fire but others did not.
