Dr. Duerte was practicing in Oakland after finishing school but loved the area and noticed there were no pediatricians so he decided to move here. Dr. Duerte went to school at the University of Guadalajara and his residency at UC Irvine and Oakland Children’s hospital. He also was Chief Resident at UCSF and continues to teach there.
