Debate with the plan centered on the potential for views being preserved that are on private property and the owner wasn’t compensated for not being allowed to develop. The San Lorenzo Valley Chamber of Commerce was not in approval of the plan stating that the entire County General Plan should be updated not doing it town by town. Also the standardization of business signs was also changed due to lack of support for changing historic signs.
