Thirty-five vintners from the Santa Cruz area have banded together to promote the values of the Santa Cruz Coounty wine industry. They hope to work with restaurants in introducing the public to the enjoyment of wine and food and to educate the public on local wineries. Over 700 of the 1300 wineries in the United STates are located in California. The temperate mountain climate is particularly ideal to wine production.
