The current station does not have enough room to walk around in and there is no meeting rooms or toilets. The new 15,000 squar feet station would include all of those items as well as serve as emergency shelter for residents in a disaster. The loan being requested is for $400,000 from Farmers Home Administration and looks favorable to be granted. It will take six months to complete the construction on land already purchased from the San Lorenzo Water District.
