Visiting Around Our Valley

Article describes growth of the exchange in the early 1900s from. Subscribers to eventually 525 subscribers before everyone went to dial-up. The article notes the original location was in the Russell and Ley general merchandize store and manned by Mrs. Helen Quisdorf. In 1930, a large exchange was installed in the Featherston building and was in place until dial up began. the article lists the people who worked on the exchange as the subscribers grew to over 500.
