The Editor says historically the early pioneers were just able to keep the roads repaired throughout the year and there was not enough, time, skill, or money to make real improvements. Much of the early roadwork was done by hand by volunteers or designated overseers not trained individuals with specialized machinery. To move to this next level in the county will require better resources.
