San Lorenzo Valley rails to be removed
Southern Pacific Railroad will begin removing rails, bridges and in some cases buildings along the now defunct railroad lines. the buildings will be offered for sale for anyone wanting the buildings or the lumber. If there are no takers then southern Pacific will knock them down. Once the line has been swept clean the company cannot sell the right of way for three years. some land will revert to the James Pierce estate who donated the land originally. some of the other land owned by southern Pacific may be sold at a later date.
