End of an Era for Dairies up the Coast
Dairies up the coast north of Santa Cruz. Pete Arvelas and his father Nick owned he last coastal dairy. Coastal dairies closed due to costs and legislation. Many of these dairies made cheese before 1933. After 1933 all were producing milk only.
