Physician of Felton Area, Dies
Obituary of Dr. Jessie Farmer who was the primary physician for the Felton are for thirty years. She delivered many babies and helped citizens survive the influenza pandemic. She guided bond drives to raise money for the Red Cross and other civic development. She spearheaded the development of a Community Hall to provide a social environment for veterans returning from the war. She grew up in Felton after moving from Australia. She attended school at the University of California and served in San Francisco as a women’s and childrens specialist before resettling in Felton. She has been retired for the last ten years.
