Faye Belardi Memorial
First built in 1893 as the old Presbyterian Church, the church occupied land bought in 1869. Worship services were held there for 63 years until a larger church was needed. The church was abandoned for several years and needed repairs. When Felton was facing the loss of its community library, the townspeople considered buying the church and moving it close to the Felton School but determined it would be too much. Nick Belardi’s mother died in a tragic accident and he knew she loved the old church. He bought the building and donated it to the town with the stipulation that it had to be a library of public building. Citizens worked together to refurbish it and a garden was added in honor of Walter files who had spearheaded the fundraising to rehabilitate the church. The garden is filled with native plants and a door on the side of the building was added to access the garden.
