Gingerbread House: example of the late-Victorian period, located on California street above the high school
- built in 1886 by Thomas Jefferson Weeks, a farmer who owned all land that is now covered by school grounds
- moved to present site in 1914
Hotel Bay View in Aptos: built in 1870 by Joseph Arano, French immigrant who married into the family of General Rafael Castro (owner of Rancho Aptos who owned it by grant from Mexican Governor Figueroa in 1833)
- notable guests include Lillian Russel and King Kalakaua of Hawaii, friends of Claus Spreckels (pioneer California sugar magnate who built SC-Watsonville railroad 1976)
- Fred Toney purchased the idle hotel in 1944 - moved the hotel from the intersection of Trout Gulch road and the old highway (now soquel drive) to its present location
- Today, it operates as restaurant and gift shop
