The bridge is in good shape compared to many others in the country because it has been used by pedestrians and horses even after cars ceased to use the bridge. However time, weather and vandals have damaged the bridge which used to be maintained by the Felton Fire Department before it became to much. The foundation has been repaired and the streambed improved. The last phase is to make repairs on the roof, walls and entryway.
