Through the combination of the current Big Trees county park and land owned by Henry Cowell adjacent to it the State of California has a new beautiful park that will be dedicated soon. Henry Cowell had wanted to make this gift but the current owners of the privately owned Big Trees area did not want to sell. At the age of 92, Henry Cowell finally has his dream come true.
