The Henry Cowell REdwoods State Park Dedicated with impressive Ceremonies

SEven hundred people arrived by train to Big Trees Park to enjoy the dedication ceremony as it becomes a STate park. The program included speeches and plaques awarded to mark the event. Max Thelan was there to represent the Cowell Family as the gift of 1620 acres was made to the STate of California. The attendees were then treat to a show featuring important historic figures and pioneers of the area dressed in costume on horseback. The article describes many of the crowd favorites such as the Widow Bennet, Rev Gilcrest, and many others.
