Earl Wilder was a businessman in Southern California. He owned a newspaper that was eventually sold to William Randolph Heart in the thirty’s and he owned a radio station that was sold to CBS. He was an air force pilot in World War I and became a lawyer. he also wanted a 10,000 acre cattle ranch in San Diego which later became a famous horse training facility, San Luis Rey Downs.
