How Much Did it Rain?
Article highlights the work of volunteer rain monitors at various elevations in the Santa Cruz County. Elevation makes a big difference in total amounts of rain received. The amounts are reported into the Sentinel who then reports it to the National Weather Service. At 700 feet elevation, Ben Lomond’s average rainfall is 51 inches.
