Second Saturday is an initiative of the African American Council of Santa Cruz and the Second Saturday Network and was designed to promote identity development and achievement in African American youth. Topics in this edition include an announcement of an extension grant with the Vecinos Project to support publication of this newsletter and other projects, a Letter from Zimbabwe, announcement of the African American Graduation, an exerpt from Mt. Olivet and the Q and A column with AFAM of SJSU.
