Geologist states that the Love Creek slide could have been predicted as it was at the site of another slide in the past. He said that the size of the slide was the surprise. The adjacent slide, dubbed "the yellow slide" but residents is poised to slip for the same reasons and the cracks around it signify the instability. It is unclear what to do about the homes in this area. especially when added to the huge tasks the County has for opening 1200 private roads and dealing with over 100 homes that were destroyed.
