The Disaster Center in the Veteran’s building downtown is closing however a FEMA Office will still remain to help people needing assistance from the storms. Over 200 people are still waiting for some housing assistance and FEMA works closely with landlords who are willing to create a short term rental arrangement. Over 1000 people total sought help from the disaster Center while it was active.
