Conflicting needs of residents in the area tagged as high risk by the Army corp of Engineers has resulted in the final decision being delayed a year. Residents had different outcomes that need to be considered. Some have moved their home and want insurance to kick in once the decision is made. Some are still out of a home and want the abatement order rescinded. Some residents were able to get their house released from the abatement order. The final decision has been postponed to allow more time for investigation.
