Windstorm slap Valley called 'near hurricane'
High winds cause damage to hundreds of homes in the San Lorenzo Valley. Wind speed was estimated at 76 miles per hour. Several residents say that it could have been much worse if heavy rains had soaked the ground before the winds occurred. This storm is in the same year as the record snowfall in the preceding January.
