Paddy Smith’s contributions are remembered on her 85th birthday with a party given by the Chamber of Commerce for San Lorenzo Valley. she is credited for organizaing the grand opening of Brookdale Lodge and instrumental in organizaing the California Beauty Pageant, once held in Santa Cruz. She is also known for her work with the Ben Lomond Recreational District in leading the development of the town pool and the Ben Lomond Dam.
