Upcoming festivities as the Newell Lake Reservoir was officially named Lock Lomond with a bit of the real lake in Scotland added for good measure. In town there will be Scottish pipers and competitions, Scottish dancing and food, a parade, and Scottish singing by a local women’s group. Several dignitaries and groups will be from San Francisco and surrounding towns in the Santa Cruz county will be there in honor of the event.
