The goals of the zine is to provide information and promote democratic action in Santa Cruz community. Topics include scope of government, the environment, rent control, civil rights, workers right, military spending, and local control of the economy. The zine helps organize discussions between community groups, activist and local leaders. The zine publishes the accomplishments and needs of particular groups to the progressive community at large. Topics in this edition include school board races, River Street improvement, and Headwaters Forest.
