Fixer-upper could be yours for only $1.1 million

The McCray Hotel two blocks from the beach is for sale at the price of $1.1 million dollars. The hotel has been shuttered for some time and is in need of repair. It was built in phases from 1867 to 1883 with the house being added on last. In 1890 James Phillip Smith bought the house and named it Sunshine Villa. His wife planted the gardens and also started the Venetian Water Carnivals in 1895 and 1896 where boats floated down the San Lorenzo river. A special treat was being invited to Mrs. Smith house for tea after the festivities.
