The landmark that might have been
History of the McHugh-Bianchi house which was on the site of one of the earliest grocery stores in Santa Cruz. It also was one of the fst businesses on Pacific AVenue instead of on Mission Square. It was bought by Golden West Bank who intended on demolishing the bulding. The citizens managed to get it declared as a historic building but it was eventually demolished anyway.
