The seventh annual reunion of teachers and students who went to school at Ben Lomond Elementary from 1898 to 1932 was held recently. the event was chaired by Carmen Guichard and her committee. The oldest member of the group Mabel. Kelly was unable to attend due to illness but she sent a cake shaped as the Little White Schoolhouse for all to enjoy. Alice Wilder was the guest speaker and everyone enjoyed hearing her stories about Jason Brown, sone of John Brown of Harpers Ferry. He was affectionately known as the hermit and he lived for many years in the hills above Ben Lomond.
